  1. Well, it was really interesting getting to see a video of this activity because we all look very confused and looking back it's pretty funny :] Going down the stairs was probably the scariest part for me because I didn't know exactly where the first step started, so I guess as something that could have improved the person in front of me or one of the leaders should have said something, but either way I still figured it out fine. I think it was good to see how we improvised along the way. Maclaine had the idea to count people and tell them to step which she passed on and then I think Nicole had the idea to have everyone put their hands on the person in front of them which helped. I think that we overall worked pretty well together considering the situation, but I think we were talking too much. I know everyone wanted to know who was near them in the amoeba, but if everyone was quieter the leaders wouldn't have had to yell and it might have been more organized because would be listening more to instructions. Overall, it was challenging, and confusing at times, but it was still pretty fun.

  2. I liked this activity. It was a lot of fun. I think we did it pretty well I mean there is always room for improvement, but we did pretty well. We still need to learn how to trust each other more and shut up when people are talking, but we are reaching that goal of trust at a nice pace.

  3. This activity was interesting. It was fun at times and difficult at others. We could have improved by having a system instead of just moving in a big blob, because people kept making commotion. I feel like if we had a system it would have been better and we would have walked faster down the stairs. We had good leaders though i like when maclaine tapped everyone telling them to take a step that helped and was a good system instead of just everyone at once stepping down the stairs. I had a good experience with this i didnt find myself not trusting my classmates i felt i had full trust in both leaders and my classmates around me. This was a good activity!

  4. I thought this was a really interesting activity, but it did get a little frustrating at times when we weren't able to move quickly. For me, it wasn't a very scary activity until we got to the stairs going down. When we were going down the stairs there was one point at which me and the person behind me almost fell forward and hit the girl in front of us. That was pretty intense since we weren't able to see I didn't know how we would have stopped ourselves from falling. Luckily, we didn't. Other than that I thought it was a pretty fun activity and we did a good job. Our class usually completes every task we set our minds to, but we could have done a better job taking it seriously. There were a lot of people talking and joking around which made it loud and unorganized. I think if we would have put more effort into quieting down and organizing ourselves in the beginning it would have gone a little better, but Maclaine and Nicole did a good job trying to organize us the way we were.

  5. The Amoeba activity was an interesting activity. I think altogether it worked fairly well. There were not any big obstacles to overcome. The only thing we needed to do better was listen to our leaders more than talking to our neighbor. The stairs were not to big of a challenge but we could definitely have gone through them a little faster. Overall the activity went smoothly.

  6. This activity was fun and different from what we have done the rest of the year. Seeing the video of us was really interesting. I thought we did a good job, especially since we have a lot of people in our class. Nicole and Maclaine did a great job leading us. It was very helpful when they tapped us on the shoulder and told us where to go. And it was kind of difficult on the stairs because you are trying not to trip, figure out where to step and when to go and i think people were getting frustrated. Next time we just need to calm down and listen to the people leading us. The point of the activity isn't to go really really fast, but to trust each other and work as a group.

  7. I feel like there was a lot of talking going on at once, and that that may have slowed us down a little. I feel that this activity was however a success, as we went up and down a flight of stairs without anyone falling, even though it took some time. Also, after we squeezed through the first door frame, the other few were no problem. The girls did a good job leading, considering they had to direct 30+ blind kids. Everyone just has to remember that spatial descriptions don't work when we're blind (front, middle, back, over there).

  8. The Amoeba activity, I believe was a great way to show how we could listen and follow directions. We had to listen to what Was say by the leaders an be able to trust them to guide us safely back to the gymnastics room. I think it went really well overall. Although I feel it would have went better if we communicated more with the people that were around us. The stairs I would say we're the most comPlicated to overcome. This is just because we were in a tight circle and werent sure what the person next to us was going to do. Although with the leaders help we were able to do the stairs pretty well.

  9. Overall, I think our class did a great job with this activity. It could have been a disaster, but we got through it without any major difficulties or anyone getting hurt. Nicole and Maclaine did a nice job leading the class. They made us feel safer and made the task easier. However, I think at times our class got really loud, and it became difficult for the leaders to communicate with us. In addition, I think there was some impatience, and some people in the back probably got cut by the rope. Otherwise, I think we successfully worked together as a group.

  10. It was pretty funny watching this video because everyone looks so confused, which obviously we all were. But I think we did an alright job. Obviously it would have probably helped to try to stop talking. The challenge with that is that talking is what helped a lot of people feel more comfortable with the situation. But if we quieted down it would have helped a lot. I think our leaders did a good job leading us though, they stayed pretty calm even though their role must have been very frustrating. If we did this again I think we would be able to do it better because we would know what we are getting into.

  11. During the activity, I was in the very back, so I was getting cut by the rope because people were pulling on it. I tried to say something about it but too many people were talking. Also, I couldn't really hear the leaders that well because so many people were talking. That became a problem especially when we had to go down the stairs, because no one told me when the first step would be and I almost tripped. Fortunately I did not, but I think next time we need to have clearer communication and make sure everyone is on the same page, and make sure everyone is being quiet and listening so we can go faster too. I think the leaders did a really good job though, considering they had the huge task of leading more than thirty blind people. It was a really good trust activity, and a learning opportunity for us to talk less and listen.

  12. i feel that the activity went pretty well. at some points it was frustrating because the leaders were telling us things we couldnt do. i guess thats why things are so hard when you cannot see. i think the class was a little noisy but i think this was a good thing because everyone wanted to know who they were by. they didnt care who they were by as long as they knew who they were and i feel that is a good way to move people around their usual friends. overall.. i think this activity is supposed to be challenging and we did a good job to overcome it and get as far as we did.

  13. The activity was definitely a challenge. The leaders did a great job of guiding us considering they had no idea what it was like to be tied up and blindfolded. The only thing I think would have made it better was if everyone was quiet and everyone could hear what the leaders were saying. For the most part, everyone did a pretty good job though.

  14. The activity was a lot of fun. We did a good job for the most part but I think we should of quieted down a bit. It would have been a lot safer.

  15. it was a fun activity. i had absolutely no idea where i was or where we were going but all in all i think it was impressive how far we got in that chaos. if we did quiet down then communication would have been extremely efficient. other than that i think we did splendid.

  16. I think the activity went pretty well. For just Mac & Nicole leading all the rest of us, im sure it was hard. We probably should have stayed quiet through the whole thing so we could hear and listen to the leaders. Overall i thought it was very fun, and suspenseful!

  17. So what went well is that we followed the directions that were given. Slowly yes but we still followed them. What I felt was kinda bad was that because our leaders didn't quite know al our names it was harder. But I realized it mustve been hard to lead also so that was a job well done.

  18. The activity was scary, because you had no clue where you were going to step, and could fall, but at the same time kinda fun afterwards, because you made it through. Like a haunted house almost. I remember feeling confused as what was happening because it was loud and chaotic, but then when the leaders gave the order of holing onto another person, that made it better because I knew where they were stepping, so I wouldn't fall. Overall I would give the leaders an A for managing such a large group.

  20. The activity was scary, but I think our class did a good job. I don't really know how I started from the back by the rope and got all the way to the front. Maclaine and Nicole did a good job at leading, but I wish we had a more organized system to make it easier.

  21. this activity was fun and scary, i think we did a good job though. it was hard because there was so many people in one rope and only 2 people leading but i think under the circumstances, we did a good job. we could have dont better if everyone stayed a little more quiet but it wasnt too bad.

  22. my experience was vvery intresting because iiii did not now were we were going and i kept being pushed into the rope wich was very difficult not to be pushed in the rope because people kept pushing you into the rope when you are in the very back of the group.
