What's important to you?
What values/principles/characteristics, do you feel are important for us to have in our class to make things work for us. Please give at least 3 and why they are important to you. Example: Communication; without this it will be difficult for us to accomplish tasks and build relationships.

1. Patience: People need to let others talk to get a diverse set of ideas, then select the best one.
ReplyDelete2. Teamwork: You win as a team, you lose as a team. We need to work together to accomplish a similar goal.
3. Communication: You need to be able talk to people to get your ideas across.

Teamwork: If we want to accomplish a goal, it's more effective and efficient if we work together.
ReplyDeleteListening: If we don't listen to each other, everything will be chaotic, and we won't get anything done.
Enthusiasm: We need enthusiasm because otherwise it's not as much fun, and we're less motivated.

Teamwork- Being that we need to work together to overcome goals or certain tasks at hand. This is would involve communication.
ReplyDeletePatience- We need to be able to wait for our opportunity to speak or act. Like when we all needed to be patient during the hool-a-hoop activity and wait for our turn to go.
Determination- We all need to be determined to complete the task at hand. If you just sit down and dont participate the class will for one go slower because you are in active. Two you may have fun.

Having an open mind: We need to be willing to think of things in a different way, and maybe see if someone else has another idea of making something work in an even better way.
ReplyDeleteCommunication: We need to be able to talk clearly so people understand what's going on, yes, but another side of communication is listening, and this is equally if not more important. After all, we have two ears and one mouth!
Trust: Building trust takes some time, but we need it so we can rely on each other, cooperate, and be a team.

Teamwork: If we don't work together, we will get nothing done. Working together makes things easier and way more fun.
ReplyDeleteCommunication: In order for us to work together we need to talk to each other. Maybe you have the best idea in the group on how to accomplish something, but if you dont talk to your group, no one will know your idea!
Energy/enthusiasm: WAKE UP PEOPLE! i do realize that our class is first period and we are all tired, but you need to have energy to do the things we are doing and get excited about doing them! Drink a cup of coffee or five and get your butts ready to party it up in gym class!

Power: Not just physical strength to help us with our climbs, but the power to lead others as well.
ReplyDeleteWisdom: We must be able to understand others in class if we are going to accomplish our goals. Wisdom also is the ability to listen to others and to make the best decisions for the group.
Courage: If you don't push your limits and try new things, you can never grow, let alone save Hyrule.

Positivity: Without thinking we can do it we will never be able to do the activity.
ReplyDeleteWillingness: we have to be willing to try new things and step out of our comfort zones
Happiness: try to bring your best attitude to class, just because you maybe having a bad day doesn't mean you have to bring others down too and who knows yours may turn around :-)

Cooperation- It's important for us to all be able to work well together, especially when we start doing more difficult tasks like climbing. This also has to do with communication.
ReplyDeleteUnderstanding- There will probably be times in class when people will be uncomfortable doing something, or scared to go beyond their comfort zone. We have to be understanding, but at the same time encourage them to go beyond their comfort zone.
Positive attitude- Even though it's first period and some of the tasks we are going to have to do might take a while or be frustrating, we will need to stay positive in order to accomplish them.

Being open minded: thats important because were all different and have different thoughts that need to be incorporated and mixed together to reach our goal.
ReplyDeleteTrust; we all need eachothers help in this class and have to know that someone will be there to catch us if we fall. (literally)
Courage; we have to be able to take risks, or lead the gro yu p when needed, so we can all grow.

Intelligence- Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, Geology, Social Sciences, Mathematics, any kind of science all look for one thing. Truth. And only one truth prevails. This will be important because at some point in team building, we are going to be depending on each other. It may be good to trust other people, but its more assuring to place your trust in a smart person.
ReplyDeleteCommunication- Just because someone is smart, doesn't mean they can easily express their ideas. Communication is vital in all social roles.
Courage- More specifically, courage to do what's right. One may be smart, one may also be good at communication, but its completely different having to tell someone, or a group of people something. Especially when that something, is the "right" thing.

1. Trust: I think without trust there are going to be a lot of activities that we won't be able to do or have fun doing. It's important to be able to depend on your classmates when you need to for whatever reason.
ReplyDelete2. Communication: People need to be able to talk to one another easily. No matter who it is, everyone should be able to speak up in class and others should be there to listen to their ideas. Without communication we won't be able to work as a team an accomplish what we need to.
Optimism: I think its important to keep a positive attitude and outlook every day in class. That way we won't become frustrated as easily if we can't quite get a task done as fast as we could or if we're struggling with something. By being optimistic we can encourage ourselves and others to keep trying and have fun in class.

Patience is important because when you're doing something with other people, you need to listen to what ours have to say and when someone doesn't quite understand something or is doing it slightly wrong, instead of screaming at them or getting frustrated, you should just calmly work with them until the solution is solved.
ReplyDeleteCommunication is very Important because without communicating with one another, nothing would get done.
Team work is extremely important because everyone should participate and make the job easier. Without team work, things would be much more difficult.

Three characteristics I believe are important are teamwork, self confidence, and a good attitude. If you have these it will help you to work easily ina group. Teamwork means you help out the others in your group. Having self confidence would help because you could believe that you could do something which would help you get through any activity. And a good attitude would help because then you aren't the Debbie downer in the group putting everyone down.

Willingness- If you don't try new things how will you ever learn?
ReplyDeleteUnderstanding- If we listen to one another and are open to understanding them and what they may be going through, then we'll become more of a group.
Happyness- It's contagious, and if we're all happy, then evrything works better and things are more fun.

Teamwork- All of our activities involve us working as a whole, so we need to work together to accomplish whatever task that was given.

Communication- It really helps with all the team building activites. It also helps to try to branch out and get to know other people.

Patience - It is a learned virtue. Outdoor Adventure focuses on team building and everyone has their own pace at which they feel comfortable working. Being impatient will only make it harder for everyone to catch up.

Teamwork - working together is a lot more fun than working on your own. it helps you get a wider perspective on everything.

Cooperation: If we don't listen to each other and work together, then we won't be able to accomplish anything as a class.
ReplyDeleteEncouragement: When people struggle in certain areas, other members of the class need to give them a positive response, not put them down, so that the person who is struggling can accomplish the task.
Trust: When people have to rely on one another for activities in this class, it will be difficult to for them to do it willingly if they do not have faith in their classmates to keep them safe.
Respect: It's a basic thing. I think it's really important to just have good manners and listen to what people have to say. Just be open minded and it'll bring the class closer as a group.
ReplyDeleteCommunication: Obviously this is very important beacuse a lot of people wrote it down. Communication is key. Without it nothing will get done.
Patience: To be a team we need to all do things together and not some getting ahead of others.

Teamwork- it is very important that everyone in the class learns to work together because there are/will be many activities where we rely on each other.
ReplyDeletePatience- Some people in the class may not understand or do things as fast as others and the people who do get it have to help them and have patience.
Communication because we have to voice what is going well to keep doing it or what is going wrong so we can all improve it.

One value that they need to have is that they wear pants at least 25% of the time. Pants are great, but do we really need to wear them so often? So yeah, at least wear them in public most of the time.
ReplyDeleteA second value that everyone should have is to never give up. People always complain about how terrible their life is when there are people who's lives are so much worse and go through everyday with a smile on their face, so just deal with it and make every day the greatest that you can, because if you're not, you're just being a waste.
A third principle that everyone should live by is that you should treat every person you meet like they're fighting the hardest battle of their life, because they just might be. Treat them with the utmost care that you can and treat them like they're are your flesh and blood. If they look down, right and cheer them up. Don't ever treat anyone badly because one little word could be what pushes them over the edge. So just love everyone equally, we're all the same inside.

whats important to me is trying two trust more people and trying to not being afraid of hights and comunicatting with others and finding out that they come from diffrent groups of family and friends

i think patience, teamwork and communication are the three most important factors of accomplishing tasks in this class. these three things teach us to listen and work together and help everyone express their ideas and hear others out at the same time.

I think understanding,communication and being a genuine person is most important for this class because they are 3 basic characteristics to build a strong foundation for a classroom environment. it will be easier to trust and to talk about youe levels of comfortablity and how you are feeling with classmates as well.

trust wourthy- Show people that they can trust you wether or not you are confterbal with wat they trust'ed you.
